Obesity is a serious, most prevailing and refractory problem. Individuals who are overweight or obese are at greater risk for a variety of medical conditions including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, stroke, dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease, cardiovascular disease, bowel cancer, breast cancer and the psychological consequences are also severe, which include body image disparagement, impaired quality of life, sleep apnea and depression.  
As these problems of obesity are multifactorial, this international journal of obesity and weight management will include manuscripts which document psychological, clinical, biological, environmental and sociological approaches to these problems. The Journal This journal serves as a great resource for those who are interested in joining the fight to eradicate obesity and obesity-related consequences.

International journal of obesity and weight management is a peer-reviewed open access journal which is intended to increase knowledge, stimulate research and promote better management of people with obesity. To achieve these goals, the journal publishes original articles in the areas of obesity research.
