Vaccination with Recombinant Streptococcus Uberis Adhesion Molecule Alters Immune Response to Experimental Challenge

Streptococcus uberis Adhesion Molecule (SUAM) enables S. uberis infection of the bovine mammary gland. Our objective was to evaluate responses to experimental intramammary challenge with S. uberis in Holstein cows following vaccination with recombinant(r) SUAM.

Mycoplasmas in the Brains of Animals: An Overlooked Site of Infection

Research Article

Recent experimental infections of sheep have shown histopathological changes caused by this mycoplasma in the CNS. The cattle pathogen, M. bovis, has been reported occasionally in the brains of calves and adult cattle showing a range of histopathological lesions including abscesses and fibrinous meningitis.

Specific Interactions between Bovine Serum Albumin and Monensin A: Molecular Description Through Theoretical Calculations

The interaction between Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA), one of the standard proteins used to study the bioavailability of biological molecules in the bloodstream, and Monensin A (MONA), a commercial drug used in veterinary medicine, was studied by molecular docking and semi-empirical calculations.

The Journal of Veterinary and Dairy Sciences is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to providing the advancement and dissemination of scientific knowledge on veterinary sciences, dairy sciences and related academic disciplines.

This journal aims to cover all the scientific and technological aspects of veterinary sciences in

anatomy, biochemistry, biotechnology, clinical medicine and surgery, theriogenology, physiology, pharmacology, pathology, microbiology and immunology, parasitology, epidemiology, breeding and genetic, feeds and nutrition, wild life, animal products and their processing. It also includes research in dairy foods and nutritional qualities of milk and dairy products, including milk from bovine or non-bovine species and human milk, human health or final product quality. 

The Journal welcomes the submission of original research papers, review articles, extension articles, clinical articles, short communications, case reports, mini reviews and opinions that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence on all aspects of veterinary science involving both domestic and wild species of animals.

The Journal scope is broad and international, covering a wide range of research areas and aims to promote the advancement of Veterinary Research and to create awareness amongst professionals in the academia and the industry, young scientists, PhD scholars, students and farmers. The emphasis will be on publishing quality articles rapidly available to researchers worldwide.  Acceptance of manuscripts will be based upon approval of at least two independent reviewers and the final approval of the Editor.
