Bio:
Dr. Gioacchino Pappalardo received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agricultural Economics and Policy at University of Catania, Italy in 1999. In 2015 he was Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Oklahoma State University (USA), where he collaborated with faculty in the areas of food policy, consumer research and other agricultural economics topics. In 2014 he was visiting  Research Scholar in the College of Education at Michigan State University, USA. In January 2013 he was a Guest Scientist at Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Central and Eastern Europe (IAMO), Halle (Saale), Germany, where he conducted some steps of the research on “Tracing the Evolution of LEADER Local Action Groups by means of Social Network Analysis A Romanian Italian Comparison”. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Environment at University of Catania, Italy. He carried out numerous research projects whose results are published in chapters of books, monographs  and articles in national and international journals.
