Bio:
Dr. Fatih Tornuk is working as an Assistant Professor in Food Engineering Department at Yildiz Technical University (Turkey), which is one of the top and the oldest universities in Istanbul, Turkey. He received his bachelor’s, master and PhD degrees in Food Engineering field. He served as a Lecturer at Cumhuriyet University (Turkey) in 2009 and in 2013 at Erciyes University (Turkey). His main areas of working interest are decontamination of fresh-cut produce with natural antimicrobials, encapsulation of bioactive compounds in nano scale and their use in food systems. He published more than 25 papers in indexed journals and contributed to a number of chapters in several nationally or internationally published books. Now he is supervising to about 10 graduate students for their academic works.
