Dr. César Bernardo Gutiérrez Martín is professor of Microbiology and Immunology in the Animal Health Department of the University of León (Spain). He has conducted 11 doctoral thesis, some of which have been awarded with national prizes, and is author of more or 100 articles published in both international (with high impact factors) and national journals about Veterinary Sciences, Microbiology or Immunology subjects. He has presented more than 70 reports in international and national conferences, has conducted 6 research projects and has been involved in other 37 as research staff. He is reviewer of 16 international journals having impact factor, and has translated to Spanish 21 chapters from two editions of Veterinary Microbiology and Microbial Diseases (Quinn, Markey, Carter, Donnelly, Leonar, 2002 and 2012) manual. He belongs to the Ethics Committee and to the Animal Experimentation and Welfare Subcommittee (OEBA) in the University of León. He is manager of the Animal Health Department from 2011 to date.
